Community College

St. Mary’s College with its mission to extend its services to the less privileged, started a new branch of education i.e. Community College  which focusses on job-oriented skill development courses. St. Mary’s Community College made a humble beginning in 2016 and was affiliated to Indian Centre for Research Development and Community Education (ICRDCE) Chennai. Two batches of students passed out under ICRDCE recognition and were  placed in different organizations.
In 2019, the Community College was recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC), New Delhi to provide Skill-based Education under National Skill Qualification Framework (NSQF). Hence courses were introduced based on the framework recommended. The NSQF organizes all qualifications according to a series of level of knowledge, skills and aptitude.

At present the courses offered are:

  1. One year Diploma in WEB-DESIGNING AND DESK-TOP PUBLISHING(IT-ITES) in two semesters
  2. One year Diploma in GENERAL DUTY ASSISTANT (HEALTH SECTOR) in two semesters

The special features of the courses are:

  • No age limit for entry to the courses with minimal fees.
  • Life coping skills such as personality development, communication skills and basic computers.
  • Work skill development in collaboration with Industrial partners.
  • Internship and Hands-on Experience.

Qualification: Class XII passed 

Fees: Rs 5000/- per semester
