The Department of Clinical Nutrition and Dietetics started as a vocational course in the year 2001, which later received a permanent affiliation to the North Eastern Hill University, and then the department started offering Bachelors Degree in Clinical Nutrition and Dietetics.The aim of the course is to inculcate knowledge and skills in disease and health as well as provide a foundation course in the field of Nutrition. On completion students can pursue in various branches of Nutrition namely food service management, food and nutrition, food science, catering management, sports nutrition, dietetics and other related courses.
