The Department of Commerce was introduced in Saint Mary’s College in 2006 as a pass course and was later upgraded to teach Honours from 2008. The Department is located in the Oakville Campus of the College. The syllabus of B.Com (Honours) is designed and structured by the Department of Commerce, North Eastern Hill University (NEHU). The curriculum of B.Com (Honours) Degree provides a carefully selected subject combination of Accounting, Economics, Finance, Management, Tax, Marketing, Business Law, etc. that are all relevant in a dynamic business environment and also allows students
to select and specialize in certain papers based on their interest and future prospects.

Objectives of B.Com Course:
To equip students with the knowledge, skills and attitude that would help them become leaders in any field as well as contributors to the growth of the country.
