Community College

St. Mary’s College is an RNDM Education Institution, which was established in the year 1937, in Meghalaya State, India, by the Sisters of Our Lady of the Missions. Formally Called RNDM Sisters, whose Foundress is Euphrasie Barbier.

The College motto is Virtue and Knowledge, which emphasizes the formation of spiritual, moral, social, and economic upliftment and the acquisition of knowledge through holistic education.

Sister Euphrasie Barbier, the Foundress of the RNDM Congregation, believed that education should play a pivotal role in the life of every individual. She was also convinced that education must uplift individuals who are economically marginalized, particularly women. For Sr. Euphrasie, education was to build up self-confidence, which will enable them to discover their aptitudes, uphold their dignity and at the same time transform the society.

Keeping with the spirit of Our Foundress Euphrasie Barbier, the college had focused on the upliftment of the students who could not avail of the academic opportunities due to many reasons.
