They may be absorbed in public and private sector undertakings – Bank, Corporations, Social work, business and in industries. They may contribute to society as urban planners, community (Rural / Urban) workers, demographers, surveyors, researchers and many more. They are most welcome in NGO’s aimed for social service.
The subject also offers valuable preparation in careers in Journalism, Tourism, media (Print and electronic) field work – (research analyst) Law, Criminal justice and medical sociology-to work in hospitals, nursing homes, health care business and other forms of managerial works. It offers a career in teaching and in active politics.
